3-29-07 arsenic lullaby to be published in Greek. a certain Greek publisher by the name of Jemma press contacted us to publish arsenic lullaby's two TPB's in Greece. after much negotiating and bartering we came to an agreement and just last week the contracts were signed. the first TPB is scheduled to be release to the Greek speaking world before the end of the year! what does this mean to us Americans...probably more terrorist attacks. sneak previews on Thursdays! starting next week we will be posting sneak previews of the upcoming book every Thursday. stay tuned Arsenic lullaby on myspace that's right we caved in and you can now waist your time and ours on myspace http://www.myspace.com/douglasarseniclullaby
2-21-07 a new collection wil be released early to mid summer! at a whopping 64 pages it will include a new voodoo joe story, new baron von donut (in which he gets a love interest...NO it is not a giant female donut, that would be silly...NO it is not a giant female twinkie in a subversive semi subliminal rearranging of falic symbols, i'm not that smart...okay i am not that motivated), and a heartwarming story about a boy and his robot...and much more AND some of it will be in color...i will be posting pages from it here

FULL PAGE Arsenic lullabies strip in MAD MAGAZINE THIS MONTH That is correct folks put your money on the world ending this year because the next issue of MAD (with Brittney spears on the cover) will have a full page strip from us (remember in MAD our strip is titled JUST BELOW THE SURFACE...) It is a brand new page made just for MAD. Make sure you tell them that it was the funniest thing in there...not because we need it but so you don't look like an outcast. 12-06-06 ARSENIC LULLABY CARTOON PROGRESS...OTHER STUFF SOME OF YOU MAY THINK 'CAUSE IT'S BEEN AWHILE SINCE AN ISSUE CAME OUT THAT WE'RE JUST SITTING AROUND listening to right wing radio and polishing our guns. Nope, although that's a good guess. A short ime ago we finished a "treatment" (that is a sumary of what the series would be like, who the main characters are and 8 episodes) for a arsenic lullaby cartoon (featuring Voodoo Joe) and this is currently being shopped around to cable networks and such. A horror movie company expressed a VAGUE interest in Voodoo Joe as a horror movie and a script for that is abot half done. and the THAT will be shopped around. in the meantime Douglas is finishing up work on a new issue of "pete the p.o.d postal worker" more on that soon. AND of course he is finishing up a 60 page baron von donut comic which may or may not be in color. ARSENIC LULLABY FILM FOR SALE! seeing as how the printers don't use negatives anymore we have a stack of film from arsenic lullaby...what these are is negatives of each and every page on a Mylar like sheet. those of you who have seen us at conventions this year may have seen them and bought some to take home and have and hold and love. they are actually pretty cool and a good way to have a piece of memorabilia if you can't spent the cash on original artwork. these will be available for sale soon either here or on e-bay...we'll let you know.
8-5-06 Arsenic lullaby STILL in MAD Cartoons from the makers of arsenic lullaby are STILL running in Mad Magazine! after three such strips have appeared the Editors are Wisely? asking for more! just to review our strip "just below the surface" has appeared in the MAD magazine with Kobe Bryant on the cover, superman/Alfred on the cover and earl/Alfred on the cover (actually this one is shipping in a few weeks) But they must be going over well cause Mad has picked up more including a few FULL PAGE strips. we'll keep you posted on when those are coming out. remember to e-mail or write them and pat them on the back for having the vision to run our strips in MAD THE DONUT COMETH TPB SELLS OUT IN UNDER 6 MONTHS yes our most recent TPB has sold out in record time. we will try to get it reprinted by Christmas but no promises. HEY, we're not like every other Johnny lunch box out there, when we mean RESERVE your copies we mean RESERVE YOUR COPIES. we print enough to make a chunk of cash big enough to keep us in the lifestyle of which we're accustomed and that's all. Arsenic lullaby animated? update. We're still trying to twist the arm of the cartoon network but in the meantime we've developed a full blow pitch and are currently shopping it around with the help of people who actually know what they are doing...vague enough for you? just want to reassure you that things are still humming along and eventually someone will animate this bastard and get rich and you'll be able to delight to the antics of the character for arsenic lullaby hear then talk see them move and i'm sure i'll get screwed out of everything.
7-5-06 Arsenic Lullaby in MAD now... it has begun...the first issue of MAD containing work from the makers of Arsenic Lullaby is out this month. The cover has Alfred e. hitting an NBA player in the groin. in the section called "the Strip club" when you see this section from here on out (baring an unfortunate incident) you will see a cartoon from us called "just below the surface" feel free to pick up a copy and tell the editors how much you loved it and how much funnier it is than anything else...or just read it in the supermarket, write down the mailing address and tell them. 3-16-06 ARSENIC LULLABY TPB THE DONUT COMETH HAS SHIPPED! Our latest 200 page jugernaught of evil funny has shipped to Diamond distribution and will soon hit stores! it includes Arsenic lullaby 12-17 the arsenic lullabies 1-2 laughter of the Damned 1-3 AND the thousand deaths of baron von donut no.1 that's right you get to see baron von donut get killed by Nazis, Voodoo Joe teach zombie fetuses to use a shogun, the u.s. government teach a pedophile to be more efficient...and more! Arsenic Lullaby in MAD-KIDS The writer illustrator of arsenic lullaby will be contributing strips to MAD-kids magazine starting this year that's right Armageddon must be close behind...the originator of the cartoon fetus is drawing for a kids magazine. Funny thing about selling out...it's making us more surly...expect future issues of our own comics to be even more despicable to make up for it. ALSO Our strip that will be running in MAD Magazine has been given a name, it will be called... JUST BELOW THE SURFACE Normally the naming process goes like this...the creator picks a name that he/she feels sums up the mood of the strip and the editor exchange ideas with him/her they bounce around several dozen names modifying some until they eventually wear out and either pick one out of desperation or something just strikes them. In this case, I couldn't have cared less what it was named so I just deluged the editor with names until he picked one. as soon as he did I said "good call! that was my favorite too!" the strips will be very much like the single page stories from arsenic lullaby and the thousand deaths of baron von donut...in fact some of the ARE from arsenic lullaby and baron von donut...that's right I get paid twice...Actually four times when you really look at it, once in the comics once when i sell THAT artwork, once in MAD the again when i sell THAT artwork (the sizes art different so it must be redrawn you see) ACTUALLY FIVE TIMES...i forgot that some of them are in the tradepaperbacks as well. life is good.
2-10-06 Arsenic Lullaby cartoon deal falls through There will NOT be an arsenic lullaby cartoon at the beginning of any bubba the redneck werewolf movie. The best explanation we can give without getting into legal trouble is this...The producers could not secure the money for the movie at all...we were also handed some B.S. that I won't bore you with and was offered help in going to other animation studios. Of course we declined the harm....er I mean help, as we had already been talking to other folks about doing a cartoon even before the movie proposition. anyone who wants to know more will have to get Douglas drunk at some convention or another and ask him then. 1-6-06 Arsenic Lullaby in MAD The writer illustrator of arsenic lullaby will be contributing strips to MAD magazine starting this year (issue 463 will be roughly the start date for that)

Look for an Arsenic Lullaby animated cartoon in front of the upcoming motion picture BUBBA THE REDNECK WEREWOLF OCT 06 Here are a few more details ...there will be TWO arsenic lullaby shorts produced. The better of the two will be at the beginning of the movie (BUBBA THE REDNECK WEREWOLF, staring Sid Haig), and the second will appear on the bonus footage of the DVD. At least one will feature Characters and stories adapted directly from issues of Arsenic Lullaby. Douglas Paszkiewicz will make the storyboards and will have final say on the voice actors.
