Let the games begin...
The 2010 convention season begins for me this week in Orlando, and not a moment too soon. I've spent way too much time cooped up in cold ass Milwaukee surrounded by normal people with normal rational interests. it is time to rejoin the magical world of pop-culter where a thirty something who draws cartoons for a living is a god among men and not the weirdo down the street who doesn't seem to sleep or have a job. yes, soon i will be among people who can appreciate my ...excentricities instead of looking at me kindly and backing away. The Convention schedual as it sits now, is listed below with links. and just a few convention dos and don't -Don't ask me how the cartoon is going it stresses me out. -don't be offended if i cut our conversation short, there is only one me and i have to convert as many people into readers as i can. -don't leave without taking something home. -don't ask to hang out after the show, again...there is only one me...unless you are, Sherylin Fenn, Lady Gaga, fiona apple, or the lady from the progressive auto insurance commercial the answer will be "no thank you" as i will probably just be drawing commissions that night. -don't tell me the rumor about lady gaga being a man...i've heard it...and don't believe it. -do tell me you can't wait for the cartoon and will by a dvd no matter how it turns out -do encourage your friends to get some books -do bring sketchbooks for me to sketch in. -do feel free to ask for commissions. if you have a drawing in mind that takes more than a couple minutes, and ask on fri or sat you can pick it up the next day...for a moderate fee. -do tell me how great i am and how great the book is...liberal use of the term "genius" is encouraged. march
