A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER
"flibdy jib bung a bibbidy bop" maybe you are a football fan, or maybe you are just someone who has to deal with small minded petty people all day long. if you are either of those things sit back while i ream these people out. Brett Farve missed going to the playoffs last night in overtime. and much of Wisconsin who roots for Farve's OLD team the packers are gleeful and wallowing in his defeat. his defeat consisted, from his end, of trying to throw a football as hard as he can to a moving target thirty yards away while 300 pound world class athletes are hitting him at full stride. then getting up and doing it again...and again...and again. then being dragged off the field, taped back together, and doing it again, at age 40. for no other reason by the way than to accomplish something special. He isn't grinding any axes, the packers already got knocked out of the playoffs, he's rich beyond his wildest dreams, and will be in the hall of fame regardless of the outcome. it may have been as heroic an act as is possible if no actual lives are at stake. and the petty small people rooted and jeered when he lost. a friend of mine by the name of Medavon ,lead singer of lockjaw, who no doubt knows the pain of being pestered by petty people while trying to accomplish special things, said this behavior is why society is corrupt. on the surface this may seem like a reach. but after some thought, he is dead on. let's look at the word "corruption" it is the decay of a larger entity by smaller parts of that entity. in the scope of -society being corrupt- it is the decay of society by individuals for their own petty schemes, motivations and selfishness. harming the larger scope for the benefit of the smaller scope. the kind of person who would watch that performance and revel in it's shortcoming is the same jag off who ruins everything special. the same jag off who gets in the way of something big, often times simply because they will not get the praise, or because they feel the big accomplishment shines a light on their lack of accomplishment. and if you know the sort of jag off i'm talking about you can pretty much imagine what they where going on about for the whole season...first they said "he's too old he won't be as good" he was, he had his best year, so then "well...he's a prima donna and he'll hurt the teams morale" he wasn't and helped the younger players immensely with his leadership so then "well...okay...but he'll never last the whole season uninjured" he did so then "well...uhm...he'll lose the first playoff game" he won...but finally they were right about something...no...actually make that Farve finally failed. see everyone fails eventually so continuing to bet on failure until it happens is not really being correct about something...it's just being a jag off. and that's really only if you consider coming in third out of 30 teams of professional world class athletes who are all working towards the same goal, and only losing by a field goal in overtime failure...i call it third best in the world...at age 40. from a sports perspective, if you can watch Favre go through all that and be gleeful at his defeat...i just don't know what to say for you. you can't be a sports fan, you certainly can't appreciate anything special unless it's happening to you. you are the worst characteristic of humanity. It is a symptom, a tell tail trait of the overall jag off that you are. you are the same shallow character who has gotten in the way of something good all throughout history. You are the guy that sued Tucker, and squashed Tesla, and kneecapped Patton, you are the guy tried to bankrupt the Wright brothers, that turned his back on Leonidas, the generals who where stationed a shhort horse ride away yet let Custer get slaughtered, the guy who made Michael Angelo put leaves on the nudes, you are Fredrick Wertham, and Tipper Gore, you are the alderman who tells everyone how short their grass must be, the cop who pulls people over for a loud muffler, the guy at the office who blows the whistle on co-workers for petty nonsense, but mostly you are the jag off on the couch who's never accomplished anything special laughing because someone else fell short. in all sincerity...you'd make me sick if you weren't so sad. little habits turn into big habits. watching last nights game and finding glee in his defeat is poor character, and i truly hope it doesn't reflect the rest of you, and i hope that same poor character doesn't come out during things you have actual control over. I deal with your kind constantly, and know this...when i am dead there will be a list of things that i did that were special, and appreciated, and in a small way made peoples lives better and I'll be remembered for it, and if you live to be 100 you'll have nothing to show except the voids people like me didn't fill because you got in the way. i may hire someone younger to gouge that into your tombstone, "joe shmoe- lived just long enough to fuck up a few things that people better than him were trying to do" or maybe I'll just ask someone to do that who appreciates accomplishment. will anyone be willing to stop them on your behalf? Thanks for a great season Brett.
